White Pine Chamber Launches Redesigned Website
ELY, NV -- Evie Pinneo, Executive Director of the White Pine Chamber
of Commerce, today announced the launch of the re-designed Chamber
website.
"The new format is bright, well-organized, and easy to
use," Pinneo said. "Our website has become one of our best
tools to help us support the businesses of White Pine County."
Located in beautiful eastern Nevada, the White Pine Chamber of
Commerce, provides business support services and tourism information for
the communities of Ely, McGill, Ruth, Baker, Lund, and all outlying areas.
The site includes a list of chamber members and information about
becoming a member, the chamber's mission statement, a county-wide events
calendar, links to other White Pine County websites, and a list of the
top 10 things to do in the county.
Originally designed by Susan Klopfer, MBA, the site is now being
maintained by Pinneo and her staff at the Chamber Office in Ely with
technical support by Kristi Fillman of KKF Communications in Ely.

Pinneo New White Pine Chamber Director
ELY (RNTN) -- New faces, new programs and new challenges are coming
about at the White Pine Chamber of Commerce, said Wayne Cameron,
president of the business organization. The chamber recently hired Evie
Pinneo as Executive Director, replacing Patty Rimington who recently
left for a new position.
"Evie brings years of experience dealing with the public and
managing offices. She will be very instrumental in carrying out the
changes planned for the Chamber," Cameron said.
The Chamber is reorganizing to add member benefits.
"Serving our members' needs has always been a priority for the
chamber, but this will receive even more attention from now on,"
Cameron said. "For instance, nearly every day our Chamber receives
both local and outside-of-the-area calls asking for business referrals.
We will always recommend our Chamber members first to those calling.
Having this referral service provided is one of the best benefits a
business can receive. We know that most people contact a city's chamber
of commerce when they have this type of question."
Cameron said the group recently rewrote its mission statement that now
focuses on its membership. Other changes include membership recruitment,
incentive plans for local shopping, hospitality training and customer
service programs. New committees are being formed to take on these
tasks.
"Another exciting change for our Chamber is formation of the Rural
Nevada Associated Chamber (RNAC). Board member Lorraine Clark serves on
this board and the organization represents over 30 rural chambers,
giving us a state-wide voice in matters that concern rural Nevada."
Cameron said.
Clark, who was planning to attend the Rural Roundup on April 10 at Lake
Tahoe, said RNAC has also scheduled a meeting during this annual state
tourism event. "A fall meeting is planned for Ely, and we're
looking forward to hosting rural chamber representatives from around the
state next September," Clark said.
"RNAC will be looking for solutions to many issues faced by rural
chambers. With a state-wide presence, we should be able to help
businesses in all of the rural communities of Nevada," Clark said.
Joining Pinneo as chamber office volunteer is Dan
Braddock, also of McGill. "Dan has the key to the McGill Historical Drug
Store Museum and is the Chairman of the Board for the White Pine Public
Museum.
"Dan is a real joy to work with," Pinneo said. "He has studied the
area and can answer lots of questions, which takes the burden off me."
