In this special anniversary year, we've brought together speakers to share the history, culture, art, and science of Great Basin National Park with you at home. This month, we'll present the final speaker in our series—author Stephen Trimble—for a presentation that will bring it all together.

Originally published in 1989, Trimble’s book, “The Sagebrush Ocean,” became an essential introduction to the ecology and spirit of the Great Basin Desert. Now, Trimble has updated his book to reflect the environmental changes and human development that threaten this vast landscape. Join us as he shares the story of the Great Basin, from an urgent insight into what’s at stake to a reverence for what remains.

Movie Night at the Museum: The Legend of the Lone Ranger Movie Night at the Museum: The Legend of the Lone Ranger Join us on Monday, September 14 at 6PM for a unique movie-going experience. The first three 1949 episodes of The Lone Ranger are shown on an original 16mm print! See the origin story of the masked hero, his horse Silver, and his trusted companion Tanto. Experience the subtly flickering picture and quietly chattering gears of a real film projector! Admission is free for all ages.
