LS Power Grid and the Great Basin Transmission Line are tremendous partners providing support to the White Pine Chamber of Commerce and organizations throughout White Pine County.
Great Basin Transmission’s Southwest Intertie Project-North (SWIP-North) will provide a bi-directional transmission pathway for delivering energy between the Desert Southwest and the Pacific Northwest to meet changing market needs and to increase reliability.
SWIP-North is the final link of a transmission corridor extending between Idaho and southern Nevada that will increase reliability and reduce congestion in the western United States, and enable the bi-directional flow of more than 2,000 megawatts of electricity.
By 2028, Great Basin Transmission plans to add a new 500 kV transmission line that will connect the Midpoint Substation near Twin Falls, Idaho, to the Robinson Summit Substation near Ely, Nevada.
LS Power Grid designs, builds, operates, and owns high-voltage electric transmission systems to strengthen and improve the resiliency of the U.S. power grid. We deliver energy solutions, enable economic growth, and serve local communities near our facilities.
LS Power's community engagement programs support areas where we live and work, creating lasting impact on and off the grid.
Elevating communities through investment, charitable contributions, in-kind donations, and employee volunteerism, LS Power & GBTL are making positive differences in people's lives.
