Give Like Dolly Day is an annual global initiative on September 25 (9/25) created by the Dollywood Foundation to honor Dolly Parton's legacy of generosity by supporting early childhood literacy.
Folks can donate directly to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library or their local public library affiliate that operates in the area.
The White Pine County Library will host a Dolly Day at the Library, 950 Campton Street in Ely from 9-5 on Friday 9/25.
The Nevada Northern Railway, the organization that has funded the mailing of free books to over 300 local families for the past six years can also accept contributions to their efforts of keeping free books going to local children.
Check out the list of Local Non-Profit Organizations that also deserve your help. Be a volunteer, join a group, or if you can't spend the time, spend a little spare change to promote change.
