Ely, Film, Art, & Music Festival

The Ely Film Festival debuted in Ely, Nevada the weekend the world shut down. In March of 2020, the global pandemic cut off group gatherings, crowd-based attractions, and threw the best laid plans into the wind. Those that attended the inaugural Ely Film Festival were privileged to hear from international and local filmmakers during panel discussions, and were thrilled by the cinematic creations showcased at the historic Ely Central Theatre. 

Five years later, the Ely, Film, Art, & Music Festival, or FAM, has grown to become a multifaceted, international film festival, an artists showcase, and celebration of musical talent. Multiple days of creative expression from all age groups highlight the history of creative talent enlivening the quality of life in Ely.  Full days of films from all over the world, theatrical releases of award winning cinema produced locally, live bands, musical productions, and art gallery showcases, galas and red carpet walks have delighted locals and visitors alike. The Ely FAM Festival also received a Best of Nevada Award for Best Rural Event in 2022.

The Ely Film, Art, & Music Festival returns MARCH 21st & 22nd, 2025. 

For two days, full length and short films from all over the world will be shown on the big screen at the Ely Central Theatre. 

Artists will gather for a showcase of incredible craftsmanship and skill across mediums. 

Musicians and performing artists will delight audiences on stage. 

The red carpet will be rolled out for the community and our guests to meet, mingle, share the full FAM experience. 

As a Non-Profit, the Ely FAM Festival also provides educational programs and raises funds for scholarships awarded to White Pine High School Students pursuing higher education in Film, Art, or Music. The organization also seeks to create public art installations and accepts donations for those pursuits.
