Activity description

 

Providing creative outlets, artisitic pathways, and theatrical opportunities to the youth of White Pine County, The Ely Children's Community Theater has been performing for almost a decade. 

 

Theater and the performing arts provide experiences and skills which can provide benefit and be used throughout a lifetime. Self-confidence, cultural exposure, public speaking, memory and empathy are just a small portion of what can be learned on and around the stage. 

We have seen children blossom from shyness into leading roles, discover a love of and talent for singing, dancing and performing and make friends while doing so. 

 

This realization led to a group of community members and parents to volunteer their time and share their experience, to help bring theater to the children of White Pine County.

 We do not expect or need professional level theatrical professionals, but rather enthusiastic participants dedicated to creating a positive theatrical experience for the actors, audience and community.
